Comment:

a mix for a diaryland friend, Liz. this was simply introductory and contains bands she doesn't have cd's by. the title is from the neutral milk hotel song, which I am *really* loving right now. big thanks goes out to Zach, Emilio, Em Stein, Adam Noble, and Joe Gillis for these tracks. OH, and the lovely Kristina for the Hey Mercedes. (which I am hopelessly addicted to!)

just as a side note, sparklehorse has a kickin song called piano fire. i thought it might have been on your tracklist from the album name.

Nice mix. "Holland 1945" is one of the most striking, unforgettable songs of the past decade (if not the entire rock era). I don't think there's ever been a rock artist with the guts to take on the subject matter of Anne Frank and the Holocaust, and NMH did an incredible job. Too bad they called it a day after that album.

Oh Abigail! You make the most amazing mixes. This one is no exception. Lucky Lucky Liz that gets this. I sent your CDs out yesterday so you should be getting them soon. Also, I just made something yesterday to include with your next CDs and I'm thinking you'll like it. Or at least I hope so.

Lots to love.
Maybe it's just me, but there's been a lot of NMH posted lately. Of course, I'm among the guilty, and it's not a bad thing. 'Love the lead-off track, too.
