Comment:

well, sunday was hottest 100 day, and as i have my ritual of listing all the songs and highlighting the ones i voted for, (despite the list going up on the net 30 minutes afterwards) i figured i'd tape the good stuff. i didn't have any control over the tracklist, which sucked, but i got most of the songs i liked. i was waiting for Spoon, Bright Eyes and DJ Shadow but they didn't come... :-( I managed to get a nice darren hanlon/queens sandwhich...hmm. i guess this mix is quite diverse. for me anyway. apart from all the queens. i'm really into them at the moment. a lot of people are, judging by the fact they came number 1. the last 4 songs are the top 4. i was going to do top 5, but the Vines were number 5, and well, i hate the vines.

yeah, nice dazza/queens sandwich. can't say *anything* good about john butler (reminds me *too* much of dave matthews, whom i cannot stand), but like the you am i and badly drawn boy (who are coming to perth in march with teenage fanclub!) pick as well. wasn't too impressed with the new augie march - did you think it was as good as "sunset studies"? (i didn't)

there is only one thing to say about such a mix tape ... where is the Salmon Hater track? ;p

I thought it was a pretty good one this year. it was good to hear the number one being a credible piece of music instead of a chart hit as it is more often than not(see - cranberries, offspring, alex lloyd). was nice to see the waifs do well, too.
