Singer/songwriters, arena rockers, Motown legends . . . the spectrum of Billy Joel's peers is limited only by the width of the radio dial. Even within the microcosm of his specialty, the story-song, there are as many ways to tell a story as there are stories to tell. Occasional touring partner (and fellow piano man) Elton John serves up a heartfelt homage to a fallen Hollywood heartthrob in "Candle In the Wind," while the brave-faced and brokenhearted "actress" in Harry Chapin's "Taxi" never made it past the studio gate of her dreams.
