the parenthesis indicate the song appeared on a soundtrack. right now i am having a love affair with jacques dutronc. he is way swankier than monsieur serge, but don't tell either i said so. em, let's see. there's some beat tunes on here, lots of sixties french stuff and some modern takes on sixties french stuff (incl. fabulous successes by mellow & les sans culottes), psychedelic & garage, a little 80s sass thrown in for good measure.
