Comment:

Quite an obscure concept, really. It's a mix which just reflects the general "experience" of Catholicism - sometimes humorous (Madonna), sometimes serious (Ben Folds Five). As well as obvious references to Catholic doctrine, it also includes allusions to temptation and general forbidden things which really get the Catholic guilt coursing through your veins. If you're Catholic, I hope you appreciate this. If you're not, I hope you like it anyway!

You know, I'm really glad to see this topic broached here. I've wanted to do a "why I am not a theist" mix for quite some time, but haven't quite gotten around to it. You've hit on so many of the key things about being Catholic, which is really cool and clever. I might suggest, for levity, Tom Lehrer's "The Vatican Rag" - there are fewer moments in recorded history that are funnier takes on sacred cows, so to speak. Anyway, nice job and you've inspired me to do something similar.

By the way, I also give it my "Ex Altar Boy" thumbs up. Yep, I did my time as an altar boy - and I still have the scars.

ah, Catholic guilt. It never occured to me to make a mix on such an abstract but omnipresent concept, I like your picks.
