Comment:
In a world of hungry players, rapper Jim Jones remains one of the most ravenous: he's the joint CEO of Diplomat Records and an original member (along with Cam'ron and Freeky Zekey) of Harlem's Dipset, who has juggled A&R duties with a productive sideline in video direction (under the moniker CAPO) and an interest in the theater — he supplemented his late-'00s output with an off-Broadway production, Hip-Hop Monologues: Inside the Life and Mind of Jim Jones. Anywhere there's a hip-hop pie, Jones seems to have a piece of it, but he might have remained a supporting team member were it not for the massive success of 2006's "We Fly High," adopted as an unofficial anthem by the New York Giants. Here, we've pulled in a couple of party cuts from 2009's Pray IV Reign — "Pop Champagne" (featuring Juelz Santana) and life-is-good cut "Na Na Nana Na Na" (with vocal assistance from Brittney Taylor a.k.a. Bree-Beauty) — along with a fistful of Jones' finest moments to date.
