Comment:
made this joke mix last august. i found it was good to bring out on road trips... some of these songs may not really apply, but my friends and i were running out of ideas.. let me know if you know any other stalker songs, maybe i could revise or make volume 2Feedback:
cool mix. Didin't Sarah McLaughlin do a song about her stalker?
It's likely impossible to find other than on vinyl, but The Individuals, a short-lived Georgia band (I think) had a GREAT song called "I Walk by Your House." I have had no luck finding them on CD. I have the record but it is in deep storage ... it's worth trying to find it ...
The Sarah McLachlan song that Joe is talking about is "Posession" which is about a stalker but I don't know if it was specifically about hers.
the Sarah McLachlan song is about her stalker specifically ... actually, it's written from his perspective (I saw this on VH1 Storytellers, I think). changes the meaning of this one BIG time!
How about "Lily (my one and only)" by Smashing Pumpkins, off of Mellon Collie and the infinite sadness? One of my personal favorites.
I did a stalker mix recently...but my favorite track off of it is a Steve Earle song called "More than I Can Do"...favorite line? "Just because you won't unlock the door...don't mean you don't love me anymore..." I like your title. :)
'i want you' by elvis costello.
'it's the thought of him undressing you/or you undressing him.'
'it's the thought of him undressing you/or you undressing him.'
Sarah's stalker actually sued her for writing about him.
cool concept, BTW
dave matthews band - crash into me is about a peeping tom
piebald - the stalker and reel big fish - say "ten" are great stalker songs
Straw Hat and Dirty Old Hank by the Barenaked Ladies is actually about a famous person's stalker...
