Well, the one thing about using "She Don't Use Jelly" is that if someone isn't really into music andyou are trying to turn them on to Flaming Lips, that's the song that'll make them say "Oh, THAT band!!!" which, believe me, is key in turning anyone n to an indie band. I can't tell you, for instance, how many people I'm ableto turn into Apples in Stereo fans just because of the moment when they hear "Signal in the Sky" and go "Oh, the Powerpuff Girls song! ...THAT band!!!"

Not to mention the fact that, notwithstanding its surprising radio success, "She Don't Use Jelly" is actually a damn fine song. That aside, my own FL mix, while overlapping somewhat, is actually pretty different -- I'm particularly partial to "Fight Song," "Everyone Wants To Live Forever," and "Buggin'." Plus I still get a kick out of "The Big Ol' Bug Is The New Baby Now."

Yes! "The Big Ol' Bug is the New Baby Now" is awesome! I love that one. This mix is nice too. Hard to go wrong with this band. The one song that I think is underrated is "Halloween on the Barbary Coast", but they've got a lot of stuff and you can't represent it all.

It's colder than a witches tit here.. Yes, I know this is a "normal" winter, but I'm sick of it! Wayyyy too much snow for a guy who's now a home owner with a sidewalk and drive to shovel! :P
