Comment:

Continuing to mix all of he artists in my CD collection in alphabetical order... let me be the first to say, the hell with Live and Living Colour. I would never normally include them in a mix... but if you take those bands out of the equation this is an outstanding group of artists, some that I don't use enough of in my normal mixes, and some that I maybe use too much. Anything else you think I should have? Any good L-bands or such?

While I admire the concept, including bands or songs thatn you don't like just to follow some self-made rules seems kinda strange. And Living Colour weren't all that bad anyways!
Nice concept anyways...I'd hate to tackle my collection with the same idea.

Agreed, being that this is a form of entertaining my self, when you get right down to it, I should be able to do whatever the hell I want... In fact, with the first Alpha-Zed mixes, I did leave out a few artists at the time that I owned that I'm including now (mostly because last time I thought I was going to sell the albums off used)... But, part of the challenge of the concept is trying to force myself into using a broader range of artists than I usually do and also forcing me to come up with creative transitions and careful planning to make the mixes flow when I'm given no choice over what artists to include. That said, it has turned ut well 99% of the time. But some bands, like Living Colour, while I do think that's a pretty good band, does not fit in with the majority of the artists I own. Which is why altough I think they are talented, you won't see them turning up on my usual mixes. But still... good to know they are there.

Lullaby for the Working Class would be good too.
