Comment:
I'm currently teaching English at a high school in Japan, and this is a tape I made for one of my kids- whose knowledge of Western pop music consists of Britney Spears and J-Lo- when she asked me who the Smashing Pumpkins were. I tried to put mostly peppy, accessible songs on it . . . sort of ween her off of Britney slowly, ya know? She really liked the Weezer and the Go Sailor.Feedback:
this is absolutely wonderful! what a nice introduction to great music. :)
She wants to know Smashing Pumpkins, and you start her ot with "Eye?" Why would you start with the very moment that SP started sounding like Super Mario Brothers? If I'm going to turn someone onto SP, the material is all going to predate that song.
i'd agree with patrick about the pumpkins bit, but hey, that jtb song is great, and bjork is there so, at least you've done yr job!
i want to teach english at a japanese high school. would i get fired for making out with the students? japanese girls are so hot dude.
p.s. good tape. i like it a lot.

fantastic and absolutely perfect! highlights are the cure, dressy bessy (great song that), go sailor, luscious jackson, and that *oh so perfect* belle and sebby track.
