With 14 studio albums, a soundtrack, and half a dozen live albums to Queen's credit, it's a pretty safe bet that you've probably missed some of their best songs; in fact, some of the tracks listed here (from their new set of reissues) have never been available commercially before at all. At nearly a minute and a quarter longer than the studio version from Queen, "Jesus (De Lane Lea Demo, December 1971)" not only features extended instrumental riffs, but also positively growls in its leather-jacket-tough raw power. The differences between the Queen and Queen at the BBC versions of "Keep Yourself Alive" are more subtle, with a few lyric changes and a slightly stripped-down sound, but the eye-opener (or should we say ear-opener) here is just how much of the studio sonics they could bring to a live, untinkered-with, no-overdub-or-remix recording. As for the "Bohemian Rhapsody (Operatic Section A cappella Mix 2011)" — well, you've just got to hear it.
