Whether you're a prog aficionado or a new-wave devotee, your favorite artists likely sounded something like Queen. 10cc cast off the darker side of their earlier hits, like "I'm Not In Love," to layer pop gloss over the perfect marriage of sunshine and sugar in "The Things We Do for Love." Electric Light Orchestra got its start as a full-fledged rock 'n' roll philharmonic, complete with a string section, horns, and chorus, and their "Concerto for a Rainy Day" from Out of the Blue concludes with the chirpy, cheery "Mr. Blue Sky." Finally, Sparks — no strangers to show-stopping theatricality in their own right — pepper a story-song with tinkling keyboards and gunshots (!) in "This Town Ain't Big Enough for the Both of Us."
