Comment:
A mix for my uncle, who graciously lets me use his cabin for a week every summer. God bless you, Gary. I stayed close to vaguely rootsy, countryish y'allternative on this one.Feedback:
Wow - I haven't thought the Gear Daddies in ages! And Jr Brown is just the cat's pajamas.
Yee ha!!
Excellent!
Pretty damn cool.
that's great... a folkish mix like you said, but not with the crappy mainstream countrypop out there. i like it...especially the wilco track.
this is great. thanx for yr comments on my mix.
Great to see The Movie Stars here! I thought I was the only one who knew who they were (and who Jill Olson is). I saw them open for Robyn Hitchcock in 91 or so and have been a fan ever since. They only had two albums, but Jill Olson has released a couple solo albums since.
Anything with BR5-49 (with the hyphen) is all right by me.
Interested in trading, I'd love to hear this mix!

MMM this is some good stuff.
Must be some cabin you get to stay at; Gary is the lucky fella!
Finger on the pulse of alt.country? Hell- you got the whole anal-thermometer reading of it goin'! Great mix!!!

you know, you are absolutely killing me with your abundance of Jeff Tweedy tunes! (since I worship the ground he walks on, errr) keep up the good work.
I never would have thought of "Cruel to Be Kind" as twangy at all, but I can sorta see it... another nice one, especially since me loves the 97's.
great mix. every song. damn. you even managed to put cruel to be kind which is one of my favorites on this mix where it doesn't seem to fit at all. but it works well. great job.
