Comment:

Dunno who this LoFi is, but I liked Valis' idea for a lo-fi mix. This is a somewhat haphazard collection of demos and rough mixes, ranging from solo acoustic home recordings (Bowie, Costello, Liz Phair) to 4-track demos (Who, Matthew Sweet) to full band performances before getting the final studio polish (OTC, 'Mats). Some have dramatically different lyrics than the final versions (Stones, Floyd, Buffalo Springfield). A few of these have found their way onto legit releases (typically as bonus tracks or on box sets & anthologies), but most of this comes from my bootleg collection.

Hmmm, this looks like the kind of tasty treat I would enjoy. Looks like trade possibility might have to occur.

Outstanding Marc.., as always! Looks great, interesting, and suitably appetite-whetting for the man-god, LO-FI! (Happy Birthday!)

Wonderful stuff. I'm sure you'll find some great mixes you'll want in lo-fi jr's archives.

What I've heard of this(only about 1/4) is absolutely great, and I'd love to hear the other stuff. Looks fascinating. And of the three versions of "Can't Hardly Wait" that I've heard, the one you chose is my favorite.

Anyone looking for a copy of this should just e-mail me. I may be swapping out a track or two, having listened to it a few times now.
