This is for a friend. We're starting a new Spinster movement for those who are fairly sure they will be alone for the rest of their lives. I tried to make some of this optimistic because we still don't want to believe it.Feedback:
Nice mix. Love Phantom Planet's version of Somebody's Baby. For volume 2 of your mix, how about Alice Deejay "Better Off Alone"?
I might even suggest one of the beautiful versions of Gerswhin's "But Not for Me" ... among them, Hadda Brooks, Chet Baker, Nat Cole, ella, miles, 'trane, blah blah blah ... but it's a darn good mix the way it is ...
For that optimistic tone, bust some Sinatra "My Way" on v.II. You may be by yourself, but you're living on your own terms - Which are the only terms any of us can truely know. Kane, natch.
