This looks like great mood music... for some kind of mood ... Sonny Sharrock can get pretty ... um rowdy ...

Sonny Sharrock month?!? Crap - I didn't get my Grandma a card! Nice mix. Ornette Coleman was my intro to jazz beyond the obvious staples of coltrane, miles, etc. I was way into punk at the time and was trying to find the jazz equivelent, which ended up being Ornette Coleman, Cecil Taylor, and newer (at the time) acts like Jazz Passengers and John Zorn.

Sharrock month...well, Lo-fi's Sharrock mix got me to listening to him this morning, though he's not much in evidence on this track which is here mainly to explore the Linda Sharrock/Shelly Hirsch similarites.

Very cool, Curtis, at least what I know. I'm betting the stuff I don't know is just as good, though
