Comment:
A tricky mix to make, since it's hard to keep a mix from being too one-note when your theme is "loud guitar music". So you've got your poppy loud guitar music (GbV, Supergrass, The Donnas), your art rocky loud guitar music (Rush, King Crimson, Trey Gunn), your funky loud guitar music (Prince, The Rapture), your loud guitar songs that start off with quiet bits (Queen, King Crimson), etc. Still a CD for a very specific mood, though.Feedback:
King Crimson, Rush, The Donnas and Prince all on the same mix. Whoulda thunk it was possible! TURN IT UP TO 11!!!!
Le Tigre and Limp Bizkit on the same mix? Holy moly...that's a bold move to say the least. I'm not quite sure Kathleen Hanna would be down with that though. Nice Supergrass pick.
Heh. Limp Bizkit was actually a request from my girlfriend. She'd heard "Break Stuff" on the radio and loved it, though she couldn't believe anyone had ever considered even bothering to play it on the radio, since, like, every other word had to be bleeped out. I confess it's the only song of theirs I have ever heard. It does make me jump around the room though.
Great mix. I don't know about "Break Stuff," but if you take Fred Durst out of the equation, and drop anyone else in, "My Way" is a great song.
