Comment:
an experiment in free form mixing arranged as if mine own imaginary 2 hr. radio show. familiar bases (Radiohead and Bjork por ejemplo) are supplemented by the new pals of VERY WEIRD found cassettes and radio station vinyl, serious garage sale rejects and found weirdnesses (the Sedona Method is some kind of new age weirdo motivational garbage with a kicking soundtrack apparently, sounds just like Boards of Canada but one of a kind/Earl Nightingale was some sort of weird radio personality with all kinds of proximity effect/The Bob O. is a recording of a motivational lecture from an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting found at an odd sale) It's all a strange hybrid that works together nicely and i try fuck around with time perception a lot by speeding things up and slowing them down and using the timeless koto music of Yagi and the Feldman as well as Glass in contrast with the speedfreak Bach interpretation and the country, etc. Tim Cunnane is a New College New Music celeb creating excellent synthesized soundscapes. Generally speaking, side A is bouncing round the room and side B is collapsed on the floor, though its all extremely self-reflective. In this case, communication is less than perfect, but sacrifice is the code of the road.Feedback:
Looks nicely weird - and all such experimentation should be congratulated anyway. I'd like to hear it.
this looks like a hoot
As E-lo's roommate and the only other person to have heard this thus far, I can tell you that this mix is a juggernaut. Fantastic for keeping you awake when it's five in the morning and you have a paper to write.
sounds very interesting!
Just reading the track listing is a trip...Philip Glass at 45rpm's? Biz-arre for sure.
