Comment:

By all accounts a poppy CD. I wanted to have a mix that would remind me of how I feel now - which is really joyous, as I have been meeting gobs of interesting people and a particular female after a long stagnant period where I felt as though I was buried amongst the rubble of a shattered life that really I didn't even want. So a CD that I hope will prolong the happiness - although I know I create the happiness not the CD. But I have thought that someone like Beck must have prolonged his emptyness by promoting Sea Changes (if he was indeed feeling empty) - he's forced to relive his breakup over and over again, even though it must have ended a long time ago since he's written the album, had the album produced, manufactured, delivered and reviewed and still was talking about being left by his girlfriend. In reverse then I hope I can extend my feelings by listening to this CD. So generally upbeat songs with an underlying theme of unbridled infatuation. The title of the mix is borrowed from the Sloan song.

Fantastic mix. Good Beatles choice, and recognizing Sloan is always a good thing. Trail of Dead and Bright Eyes is always good to see as well. Great from start to finish.

Bravo! Totally boss tracks from Beach Boys, Yo La Tengo, Velvets, The Roots (one of my current most-favorite songs) but I must save my highest praise for "Loving Cup," which is probably my favorite Stones song *ever*. I thought I was the only one who appreciated how grand it is. Good to see I'm not alone! If there were justice in the world, it'd be you keeping the girls at bay.

This is a great mix! Nice comments, too. I've also wondered that about Beck.
