Comment:
the final cd in my 1995-era alt/new rock series. it didn't start as a series but as i had a few hours i figured i might as well complete it. and i feel that i've got all of the songs i loved when i was a freshman/sophomore in high school, with the exception of radiohead's fake plastic trees which i just thought of this second and am now irritated. just a bit.ok i'm off to listen to my cds, bye!

Nice series. Hard to believe this stuff is already seven years old. I like the Elastica, BH Surfers, Liz Phair and the Supersuckers cuts the most
weird... I was gonna make a comment on this mix, then decided to go back and look at the rest of this series. I was gonna say that this reminded me of new rock 102.1 - then I saw yer from milwaukee. Yeah, these mixes read like their playlist from back then - also reminded me of new rock fest 95, where most o' these bands played. anyways, good stuff. also, the toadies song on 3 is actually called "possum kingdom", case you didn't know. Glad to see more people from the artea on this site!
Hmm...seems like "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger is missing from this list. Check out my "what I listened to in elementary school" mix. Its some of hte same stuff that's on these mixes, only not quite as cool (I wasn't that cool yet :D).
