Comment:

Sometimes, the only thing appealing about a song is the pure strangness of the sound, the lyrics, or both. This mix raises a jar (not jelly) in a toast to those songs that I seem to like, but no one else does.
On a side note, a couple of these bands are bands I have just recently become familiar with, such as the Moldy Peaches (amazing!), the Ottomen (from Kansas City, St. Louis, and New York...all at the same time.), and Camper Van Beethoven (where were these guys hiding that I didn't find out about them until now?!?!?! Huh?!?)

Note on the cover: it has nothing to do with the mix. There isn't even a Cat Power song on here. But who needs an excuse to put Chan Marshall on the cover, eh?
