Comment:

i wish i could think of better titles for my mixes (or make better mixes to fit for the good ideas i have in mind)... i wish i could find better jpgs on my computer or at least the motivation to scan the actual covers... anyways, this goddamn mix did cost me lots of time and nerves but in the end i'm quite satisfied with the result... so is this a proof for the cathartic effect of sad/melancholy music? i'm not depressed right now, you might say i saved my depression in this tape for better days (like march, 30.). i tried to make it not all end-of-the-world-style and give it a slightly ironic twist at the end with that starsailor-humming (if you have the cd, you will know what i mean...) but if the person who i will give this tape to doesn't like it i'm going to kill myself.

If you need titles, look to the lyrics of your favorite songs. Then find a line that sounds intresting when out of context. That's what I do.

there's a hidden track on the Starsailor record? hmmmm. I'll have to check that out. great mix, by the way. and I agree with what Pat said. that's what I do for my mixes.

very nice mix. one thing: if you had "stop crying your heart out" by oasis, the mix would be absolutley complete.

it's not that i can't think of titles for my mixes... it's more that i'm always in search of the "perfect" title... something that absolutely matches the mix's intention... anyways, after a while i begin to like that modified oasis quote... which brings us to the next topic: i agree with you, "stop crying your heart out" is a very cool song but i could never put it on a mix with that title! let's say it's too positive *g* oh, the last track is not actually a song but you will hear that when you listen to the cd... after all, laughing about it all often seems to be a good way to get along to me...

I like to think of a line from a song that describes exactly what the mix is about (if it's a themed mix) - if it's just general I put anything on there :)
Nice mix here, especially the Kings Of Convenience song.

Oasis "Don't go away" that song automatically pulls at my heart strings.
Moonlight sonata always gives me shivers. ending it with the starsailor humming track is a perfect end.

awesome mix. you can tell you put a lot of effort into it. and though it's rare to see beethoven on indie mix tapes, moonlight sonota fits perfectly there.
