At Least We Still Have Ourselves
Comment:
Made for Gillian, who I work with at the video store, who I write with over at the Taphouse Grill on Sundays, and with whom I commiserate over bad break-ups and even worse false starts in our love lives... But she was looking for new music, I recommended the Brendan Benson album "Lapalco" (she's from Detriot, so is he... oh, and he's good). And so, I got right to putting a mix together (and also gave her a copy of "The Rest of the Rest," although I replaced the last track on that mix with Buddha on the Moon's "Now That You're a Star"). So far, she's already fallen in love with "Honey and the Moon" (who wouldn't), so I'm glad. And she said she could really appreciate the album lyrically... It is SO nice being in another writer's company, sometimes.Feedback:
Looks great St. Patrick! (sorry) Great Mazarin, Death Cab and Black Tambourine mixes. It's easy to see why your friend liked this mix.
Meant to say picks -- not mixes. You can see I'm not a writer!
I'll forgive you, but only because you're the only person this year helping me to remind everyone that it's my day! ...or, well, was.
very awesome, patrick. like ion said, glad your friend liked it, i know i would.
This looks great. I'll bet she'll love it!
i love this! with the exception of a few things i don't actually have, i almost believe i made it! ;)
this mix is really beautiful. and i'm glad you recommended brendan benson, oh isn't he just so great? i love the clem snide, metropolitan, elliott smith, dcfc, and mary lou lord especially. it seems like we have a lot of musical tastes in common.
