Comment:
All hail slimy, greasy, dirty, filthy, ripped up, tore out rock and roll. OK, maybe that's a bit misrespresentative. No matter, this mix contains a few decades worth of slime and grime - some garage, some surf, some rockabilly, some nerve! Hope you like it. By the way, there are about a gazillion garage tunes called "Three's a crowd", but this one I had on an old unlabeled comp and for the life o' me, I can't figure out who it is. It's a 60s garage piece, sounding like the Eyes or another wild drummin' mod band.Feedback:
wow! I'm the first to comment! cool! this looks really good - just the kind of stuff I like!
Damn, I wanted to be the first to comment. Next time call me first. Seriously, this mix looks delightful from top to bottom, though much of it is foreign to these pointy ears.
I wanted to be the third to comment, so... lucky me.
very dirty looking. so i like it.
looks pretty great to me...
Looks wonderful!
OH YEAH! Up my alley for sure.
Viva Die Sputniks! And "Lorke Lorke" as well...., no throw-away trash here. Another Lally-palooza!
really cool stuff, I think i need it
Another Lally-palooza indeed!
But what sweet trash it is! Dig that Gordon/Wray LP the most. Also, have you ever heard The Pirates Out Of Their Skull LP from '77? Fucking amazing stuff for a buncha geezers tapping into the pub/punk scene of the day.
real dumb mix, bud. have you ever heard of a band called hootie and the blowfish? huh? how about giving them some props?! have you ever heard of the doors? have you? they sure were good and there lyrics was like poetry. no, they was poetry. that guy died for his art, man, and the best you can do is a bunch of cowboy boot wearin' hobos yellin their lungs out about having a good time. do you seriously think that the little river band was worryin' about having a "good" time when they was hunkered down in the studio creating their 3rd album, which is a masterwork and has not ONE reference to good times or alcohol. why does it always come down to booze for you people. I'm dying here fighting a war against it, and you all are holding it's ugly face up to the light to see just who salutes. I'll tell you one group who wont - deep purple - they're all about the soul, man... the spirit. happy birthday by the way!
Looks really nice Sean! Let me know if you want to trade!
wild & wonderful! i missed it when it came out.
you were right, this one was just made for me - love the robert gordon / link wray track. i haven't heard that whole album - is it good? All the stuff you sent is great! oh, and if you think the songs on "chop suey" are un-pc, you should see the front jacket. kinda like the old bugs bunny war cartoons - bad caricatures.
like valis says, another winner
Looks cool. I must not have seen this before.
