Comment:
Not really a "best of" because I wanted to include at least one track from each of their releases. Anyway...When I was in high school (1988-1991 or 'The Pre-Nirvana Era') everyone worshiped at the altar of Metallica (among others). For me, Megadeth was far more interesting. Dave Mustaine was more pissed, a better lyricist, and willing to explore some interesting topics in his songs (Hangar 18, Foreclosure of a Dream). I kind of fell out of love with them somewhere around the "Cryptic Writings" CD but I was saddened to hear they split last year. Despite great record sales I fear they will always be the bridesmaid to Metallica. Grrr....Feedback:
oh my word, this is great! aaaaah, I was once a closet Megadeth fan. :) man, their older stuff is just killer. nice tracks here. and I agree, Megadeth and Dave Mustaine ARE more interesting.
