Comment:

I'm still not quite happy with this mix. I dont know how to fit a Zappa survey into an 80 minute CD. Any Zappa fans out there, please let me know what I'm doing wrong. I know this barely scratches the surface.

I think you've done a fine job. The problem isn't the selection, it's the format. You're right, you just can't do it in one CD and be at all satisfied with it. I did a Zappa mix on cassette once and it took nine tapes!

If I was doing it now (and I might) I think I'd shoot for a three-disc format. Even then, I'm sure I'd have to leave out any of the classical works and way too much of the early Mothers.

I agree that this mix is only the tip of the iceberg. Great Zappa mix nonetheless. Keep em coming.

Thanx for the comments on my mix. This is wonderful. I think you did an awesome job on this..so many good songs. The only other one I might've included was Andy, but that's just a personal preference.

Excellent Mix Ted!Being a Zappa fan myself, this is a superb intro to Zappa that a beginner can surely enjoy, as well as the avid Zappa listner. A pat on the back to ya.

Given the massive amount of stuff he has put out, I admire the attempt. All I can say about him is that I like Joe's Garage. Don't know much else about him. I am probably someone who can really use this mix.

Zappa contains multitudes - so much so that two people can say they like Zappa and be talking about mutually exclusive portions of his career. (I'm an Apostrophe style person myself.) But this is a noble attempt! All you need to do is add "Disc 1 of 3" to the title. Heh.

Don't worry, it's impossible to encapsulate all of Frank Zappa's greatness on a single CD or cassette. But this was an excellent attempt. You made tough choices, and they were good ones!

Teddy-
It's me Anthony, the guy who you've been replying to for the past few days. Thank you for doing so, it has made my article, which I am currently taking a break on to write you. Is there any way you can send me a copy of this CD?
