Comment:
THIS IS STILL IN CONSTRUCTION!!! Please partake in the making of this mix. Drop a line on the comments, I'm trying to come up with covers for this mix for someone I know. THEY DO NOT HAVE TO BE GOOD COVERS!! (Apparent in the Don Ho cover of "Shock the Monkey.") And please, no more covers from the album "When Pigs Fly," I already own the album. I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide.
Feedback:
Some great or at least interesting covers: Per Gessle, "Sheena is a Punk Rocker" (Ramones); Blenderhead, "Once in a Lifetime" (Talking Heads); Dolly Parton, "Stairway to Heaven" (Led Zepplin); Emm Gryner, "Pour Some Sugar On Me" (Def Leppard); Luka Bloom, "Dancing Queen" (ABBA); Jimmy Eat World, "New Religion" (Duran Duran); Frente, "Open Up Your Heart and Let The Sunshine In" (Pebbles & Bam Bam); Too Much Joy, "Seasons in the Sun" (Terry Jacks); Loud Family, "A Horse With No Name" (America); Atom & His Package, "Open Your Heart" (Madonna); Aztec Camera, "Jump" (Van Halen); Los Straightjackets, "My Heart Will Go On" (Celine Dion); Marvin the Martian, "All Shook Up" (Elvis Presley); Celine Dion & Anastacia, "You Shook Me All Night Long" (AC/DC); Iggy Pop, "We Have All The Time In The World" (Louis Armstrong); Aimee Mann, "Nobody Does it Better" (Carly Simon); Everclear, "Our Lips Are Sealed" (Go Go's); Jann Arden, "To Sir With Love" (Lulu); anything by the Moog Cookbook
Cool concept. That wouldn't be Dad snorting JD in the picture, would it? If you are serious about researching some bad covers, go to http://coversproject.com/ and click link for "Talk" to see the discussion.
Paul Jackson, Jr. does a cover of "Rock Steady" that is a must-have in the same sense that the Don Ho song is...you'll love it!
You should hear some great old William Shatner if you haven't already, especially his covers of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and "Rocket Man."
