Comment:

This is a concept album I put together a few years ago. That's why there are a lot of duplicated artists and the same artists aren't evenly spaced out, though I did manage to avoid having 2 of the same artists' tracks after each other.

I had to cut quite a few songs out to fit it on the CD and if I remade it now I'd probably change a few of them for different songs or span it out over 2 discs, but still I'm very pleased with this CD.

The concept is it's about a relationship from the female's perspective. The relationship starts off happy but cracks soon start to show. She becomes more and more worried that he's going to leave her and begs him to stay but he won't. She then breaks down and falls into deeper despair. Though finally she picks herself up and realises she needs to get on with her life. She finds some kind of peace within herself and comes to terms with it all. However, there's still part of her that imagines she's still with him. It's definitely not a CD to listen to if you feel like being happy!

Before anyone asks it's not about me, though is about real people. Anyone who knows me can probably figure out who! The title of the CD comes from the Catatonia song My Selfish Gene.
