Chances are you've heard of Neko Case but not Carolyn Mark. If you enjoy one, you should be able to enjoy the other. This mix is comprised of three songs off each of NC & CM's albums (with the exception of Canadian Amp), plus 3 Corn Sisters songs. This is country music as it should be: strong, honest and edgy.Feedback:

Nice mix. I wish I knew more about this Carolyn Mark woman...which album is the best introduction to her?
That's a tough one, Adam. I think I'm sentimentally partial to her first album, "Party Girl" because it was my first introduction to her. Her latest album, "Terrible Hostess" has better production values and is a bit more even, but I'd recommend either one.
I kind of lied in my comments, though. Carolyn has a third album, a tribute to the movie "Nashville", but I haven't purchased that one yet. (There are so many guest appearances on it, I hesitate to call it a solo album anyway). All of Carolyn's records are available at www.mintrecs.com... or I could always make you a Carolyn mix. ;-)
