a mix for a lost friend. i used to talk to him on ICQ a lot, but only met him once or twice, then was out of contact for a long time. over a year. actually i had forgotten about him, then one of his friends gave me his email and i've been talking to him recently on MSN. he managed to catch the leakage of Hail to the Thief, the new Radiohead album, and downloaded it. i however, have been kicking myself for missing it. so he said he'd burn me a copy. we were meant to meet up at ben harper on friday, only we didn't arrange anything. i made him this mix in return for the illegal copy of the RH album, but it was not to be. i made a cool cover for it, and all. the name comes from a label i found on some old art paper in the cupboard at school. i think it's the name of a visual arts supplier or something. angus told me he liked the unauthorised biography of reinhold messner better than whatever and ever amen, and the first track is off that album, so i figured it'd be a good name. you don't see the name "Reinhold" around much at any rate.
