Comment:
Another mix made for Gillian... she was looking for something mellow to take her mind off some troubles she's been having lately... but, here I am, and my cat which I've had since second grade seems to be very sick and I'm very worried... and so, the mix turned out to be a little sadder than I had planned. So... oops, I feel bad that I made this mix as much for me as I did for her. But, I'm sure she'll be nice enough to let me come over and listen to it. (By the way, EVERYBODY please go listen to BILL RICCHINI. It's a beautiful new album that he recorded in his bedroom, and it's more lush than you could ever imagine.)Feedback:
interesting mix... i only recognise a few on this one-but i don't know if i've ever seen the glands on your mixes before, i'm sure i'm just forgetting, but i love them... nice e smith too, oh yeah and is that the remixed kings of conv? i like the remix album better, you should checkl it out if you havent already-nice mix
Hey! No, that's the acoustic version of the KOC song... which Gillian had said she liked and which I do prefer, even though a lot of the songs on "Versus" are improved (and I do liek Royksopp). That version just doesn't have the same dramatic resonance. And yeah, I've used Glands a few times before... way back when I used "I Can See My House From Here" to open a mix and that works really well... and I've used "Lovetown" on a mix for Meaghan (which sold her on the album).
looks good, patrick. i actually find listening to depressing music when im depressed makes me feel better...
Well, I think this is a brilliant mix, and its inherent, lyrical sadness cheers me up every time I listen to it. Merci.
kings of convenience always help me sadden, but i like them all the same.. i also like this mix :)
i really enjoy this. i'd love to trade if you're willing.
