Comment:

Has a high percentage of warbly, nervous, twee, or treble-heavy songs (the Stranglers, Roy Harper, the Polyphonic Spree, the Undertones, the Go-Betweens, the Lucksmiths, Dexy's Midnight Runners), largely from the British Isles, hence the title. "Lysine" opens with one of my favorite recent lyrics: "I isolate amino acids sometimes." Joni Mitchell's version of "Man from Mars" was released on the first pressing of the soundtrack until she objected for some reason (because she is a massive control freak, presumably), and it was replaced with the movie version. I like Joni's version better (and I also like it way better than the crappy synth-heavy version she released on "Taming the Tiger").
