Comment:
You were warned. The inevitable sequel to the highly successful highlights mix of Rhino's awe-inspiring 'Have a Nice Day' series. A smidgen less undeniable than Vol. 1 perhaps, but only just. Okay, I fell back on ringers such as 'Still the One' and 'Alone Again, Naturally,' and if you must dismiss 'Rose Garden' and 'It Never Rains in Southern California' as MOR crap, well, your point is not wholly lacking in merit. But this is pure pop pleasure from stem to stern, every song a smart bomb of joy direct to your primordial top 40 consciousness. All my forty-plus friends more or less died from delight listening to these tapes, and if you're a twentysomething sneering at this, i don't envy you your future nostalgia. I think Blue Swede said it best: 'Oohga-chaka, oohga-chaka, oohga-chaka, oohga-chaka...' You can't argue with that.Feedback:
All great stuff...I've made similar comps using the same Rhino sources and have derived endless listening pleasure...Here, here to the pop song!
Hee: I love this one!!!
Bravo Eric...., I'll gracefully dance around the songs you've singled out for comment; great stuff.....the Ace song is pure magic, the Gilbert track always stops me, and Billy Swan hit it on the head!
It was a decade...

This looks good to me. I did a two-volume set that was something like this, "Get some sleep and dream of rock 'n' roll". I'd be interested in hearing what you think.
