This may seem very patriotic of me, but in fact I was making a mix tape and just realized I had selected several songs with states/america titles so I added a few more to fill it out. A few songs are added due to lyrics (like "Starlings Of The Slipstream" which reminds us 'there's no coast of Nebraska'). Any suggestions are welcome as I am hoping to make some copies to send to some friends soon. Oh yeah, the title comes from the picture which is associated with the artist Joseph Beuy.

Yes, the Pavement song was a good inclusion. And that Pixies song is great. I personally would have included Death Cab for Cutie's "405 (acoustic)" or even the album cut. But that's just the DCFC freak in me. Great things here (I say).

What a fun idea for a theme! "Omaha Stylee" by 311 (my sister's favorite 311 song) might fit here, too...and John Denver has a few songs about places in the good ol' U.S. of A.
