Comment:
This CD is a theme about a green leafy substance. Can any of you kids tell me what this green leafy substance is? I got the idea for this CD while burning a novelty CD. I started to add some funny songs about mind altering chemicals and I thought why not burn a CD about marihoojee. I also got the idea from the documentary "Grass." Ion Moe, the green leafy substance is oregano. Burning this CD gives new meaning to the phrase burning one.Feedback:
You really need Phil Phillips' "The Evil Dope". He's the guy who did Sea of Love, and that song would be right at home here. It's a riot, along with so many of these inspired picks.
i love this, it's great. especially cause i don't see enough 'yes' on these mixes
This looks inspired, as Sean said, and really cool.
Inspired, indeed! You certainly dug up all the great 60s pot songs. I could only add John Prine's "Illegal Smile."
Looks like a smokin' mix Don, although I'm still trying to figure out what the "green leafy substance" is. Could you give us a hint?
This is really cool! I particularly love when folks dig up dialogue for inclusion in mixes (I do it all the time). Trade?
Hey Don - this looks great! I need to revisit those Yes lyrics to see how that fits in.
I'm *green* with envy over this set of stuff! (I'm also with the estimable Franklin Onn on his suggestion...the Prine tune is perfect for this.) Put me in line for trade if you want.....
:::bubbling water::: Way cool! Outstanding effort! Would love a trade...
great picks! wonderful mix.
What is this world coming to? A mix about a green leafy substance? Oh dear...
Congrats on MOTW!
Congrats on MOTW!
gimmick, as usual (not that I'm judging the quality of the mix, mind you).
>cough<
nice one maaan.
Congrats! I must give up some high praise for this one. Great mix.
pass the reefer, mon.
That documentary is actually quite good and entertaining much like this mix. Good job. Now take the quiz:

Great mix! Now,do the same thing in reggae with all those stoned Jamaicans.
Great mix. I would love to trade for a copy. If anyone does a volume two, don't forget to include Asylum Street Spankers. They may have more songs about "a green leafy substance" than any other contemporary band.
Lest ye forget Ben Harper - Burn One Down
and look for the 'three feet high reefer' track from Kid Loco. great wayhigh song too
Congrats! This disc had "mix of the week" written all over it.
is there such thing as a green leafy substance? or is it just in our imaginations.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, for not putting that damn "Because I Got High" song on there.
I want to thank everyone for their comments on this disc. To be honest, I'm really , really surprised that this disc got MOTW. I also want to thank all of you who want to trade with me. Thank you AOTM.
great idea and selection of songs. I might suggest BR549's "Me N' Opie (Down By the Duck Pond)" to anyone thinking about a companion to this. What about some MC5? They were all about drugs rock n roll and fuckin in the street
hell yeah! killer weed mix. id love to have a copy of this
