And regarding the Dixie Chicks, this country was founded on dissent, and our greatest freedom is the ability to speak our minds, whether we agree with the current powers that be or not. Seems to me, that's what distinguishes us from places like Saddam's Iraq, and some of our "friends" like China, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan. It's sad that disagreement with the policies of the current administration is equated with treason. Dissent is patriotic!! I agree with you on the fact that dissent is patriotic. Without people to protest or have dissent against the administration is necissary in order to separate us from dictatorship countries. However, you can protest and have dissent while still being respectful. While you might not always agree with what the current government is doing, being respectful towards the fact that they have one of the most difficult jobs and are trying their hardest everyday, as well as, the fact that WE were the ones who got him to his position in the first place, we need to respect them.
