As you might could tell, this is a collection of Nancy songs. I made it for a friend of mine who complained that there weren't that many songs with her name in it. This was the result of some quick searching. I found lyrics for a lot of other songs, but couldn't find the actual songs to include. I also knocked out any songs about Nancy Spungeon because that's just depressing and about a specific person, not Nancy's in general. I also left out a song about Nancy Boys, because, well, the Nancy I know is a girl. But I had to leave in the Nancy Drew song because it was just so fun. So, anyway, if anybody has any other Nancy songs to suggest, bring it on in the comments. I'm eventually going to show her this page, after she gets the mix.

On the CD of Spider John Koerner and Willie Murphy's legendary 'Running Jumping Standing Still' album, there's a bonus track called 'Some Sweet Nancy'. I used it on a mix recently; it's not bad.
Nancy should love this! (Jack Webb does a version of Frank Sinatra's "Nancy" that's so ludicrous
it's almost good.
Also there are quite a few country & bluegrass "Nancy" songs, e.g. Bob Wills "Crazy about Nancy Jane" but I doubt they'd blend in well here, that's
probably a separate mix . . . )

Prefab Sprout has a "Let Your Hair Down Nancy" song that I really wanted to put on here and couldn't get hold of. I love the Nancy songs you guys are coming up with. Keep 'em coming!
