Comment:
If there were an award for having the gooniest looking bass player, Yo La Tengo would win hands-down. And Georgia looks like she should be playing the flute in a marching band somewhere. But I enjoy the music. They're the best cover band I know of and have very good original material as well. No "Sugarcube" or "Tom Courtenay" on this mix....I've heard too much of those songs, though they surely deserve to be on a greatest hits compilation.Feedback:
no fog over frisco?
Helluva mix Chief. I think Bristor just put Take Care on a mix of his, didn't he? I can't wait for their show this summer, should be good. How's tricks?
Which version of Blue Line Swinger... the long one, or the short one from Camp Yo La Tengo? If you haven't heard that, cheggitout!
I have both....but this is the long one off Electr-o-pura. The short one is great too, but it seems a little underdeveloped to me. The long version manages to go on for over ten minutes without becoming at all boring or unfocused.
yeah, sorry, fog over frisco beats cherry chapstick any day...
I really do not think so
Probably my favorite band in the whole world. I love Yo La Tengo, and it would be hard (even if you tried) to make a mix CD of their worse stuff. So I don't know if I should congratulate you on a great mix, or if I should congratulate the band ;). Either way, good job. PS - Cherry Chapstick's way under-rated.
