not really "alternating DJs", maryann did it up to/incl. "uptown", the rest = me ruining the vibe

* see what happened is on maryann's old tape deck the erase head was rooted so if you went back & recorded over something it'd still be there & you'd get a sonic double-exposure, that's what happens here, she taped the prince song over the deep purp one & it came out like this by accident.....i left it like this 'cause i thought it sounded cool. other good fuckups on the tape : "runaway" starts at 33 & changes gear hurriedly before the vocal comes in, there is a horrible needle-scraping-across-the-record sound @ the beginning of the soup greens track.
