Comment:

Definitely a subjective mix. Most people would have included alot more from Odelay, but I think his best stuff is his raw folky tunes. (I did this mix from the cd's--I should have included MTV Makes Me Want To Smoke Crack and Bogusflow)

Nice comprehensive selection of tunes. Missing some of my utmost faves though. Check out my "In A Cold Ass Fashion" two disc set.

Yes I saw him for the second time. The first was the Odelay tour. Both are on my list of best concerts I've been to. He puts on an incredible show.

I saw him live in April 2001 on the Midnite Vultures tour. "Debra"--which ran about 15 minutes and included a *bed* with leopard skin sheets dropping down from the ceiling--was beyond belief. By the way, Infinity, I should have mentioned on my mix that that two disc set *was* intended to be a primer...and seemed to work well for the person in question.

great. i totally agree, i like his earlier folk stuff the best. "cyanide breath mint" is one of my all time favorite songs. right on.

"Anybody who yearns for the old days of Beck should be given a copy of 'Fume,' an empty Hefty bag, and their inhalant of choice."

this is pretty much what i'd make as an intro 2 beck, lovely stuff.
