Comment:
Before you wonder why I included Sweet Home Alabama, here's the lowdown. It's one of the songs you are guaranteed to hear being played by every bar band on Bourbon Street. So if you walk around enough, you'll hear it at least 3 times a night. The pic is of a shanty house we saw on the Swamp Tour. Unfortunately, the toilet sitting in the swamp next to this shack didn't fit in the shot.Feedback:
Hey, nice idea and a good way to remember the vacation! On my own 4 day weekend there I was lucky enough to catch one day of the Jazz Fest in May 2000 (go Radiators!), plus the Continental Drifters at a small club during the week. I liked them, and didn't know they were more "reknown" than just a local band. check em out.
This looks like a lot of fun. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones track is an especially nice touch. Out.
Much better than a handful of fuzzy snapshots! And I could hear Sweet Home Alabama all day every day, as long as its Syynrd and not Jewel.
This excellent mix has been added to the Exhibit "Where You Got Those Shoes: New Orleans." Check it out at the AOTM Exhibits page.
