Comment:

A funny mix to do, I tried to mix great cover-versions of Bob-tunes, some Bob favs, some songs he appears as a sideman, etc, etc, etc.......I think he's version of Impressions People get ready are really great...It's funny to hear him sing with Victoria Spivey........Don't forget that this Bob is the biggest Bob of them all:-) Have a nice and sunny day folks and listen to Dylan as much as you can....i wonder if it's weather to drink "bears" today.....maybe i prefer beer after all;-)

After I'd posted my first mix, feauturing Ozzy Osbourne's "Mr Crowly" I discovered mixes directly beneath posted by a Mr Crowley.

And after poting a Bob Dylan mix I discovered this...

I haven't heard any of these versions and would love to.

As a Sonic Youth fan, the 'Thurston, Kim and Epic' (Who's Epic, then? *s*) track sounds especially interesting.

I love the Nilsson
Version of Subterranean. Have you heard Tim O'Brien's Dylan album, Red on Blonde? Thats very good.

The Byrds' take on "My Back Pages" is one of the truly great American classics (though their cover of "You Ain't Going Nowhere" is almost as good). Of course, I'm partial to Manfred Mann's "Mighty Quinn," perhaps one of the most giddily fun things anyone's done with Dylan.

This does look interesting. There are a ton of great Dylan covers out there, simply by virtue of so many people covering him. This looks like a great collection of them, too.

It's always interested in seeing which Dylan covers pick for these types of mixes. Your mix, my friend, is one of my favorites of this type.

well, well Mike! This is a killer mix. Lots of my favourite Dylan covers are featured here. Especially love the fairports and Joan Baez Pix. nice.
