I was commissioned to do the soundtrack to FIFTH OF JULY by Lanford Wilson. it was to be sixties music with the spectre of Vietnam hanging over it. Everything after the Allman Brothers was in the spirit of the play, but less cliche. The Gillian Welch track is especially in the spirit of the playFeedback:
