Comment:
In the spirit of Adam Bristor's The Sweetest Winds They Blow Across the South, and in response to Mo Twang!'s challenge, here are twenty songs that feature the duet and background vocals of Lucinda Williams. The title is from the Kevin Gordon track.
Feedback:
Fabulous! Now I don't have to do it. Some of my favs -- Room to Room, Grievous Angel, Poison, Cowboys .... and finishing off with the great Ralph Stanley. Nice job!
Wonderful! I told you that version of "Room to Room" was great.
wow - Lucinda can go anywhere, do anything.
What a voice, what a mix!
What a voice, what a mix!
Absolutely spectacular. "You're Still Standing There" is another excellent one, and "Room to Room" is great as well. But hell, so are all of these picks. Truly a great mix.
yeah, this sounds truly wonderful!
Lovely. The Ralph Stanley/Lucinda track kills me.
Don't know much about her unfortunately. would love to do a trade - we could meet halfway - maybe beers at Old Ebbit Grill if you ever make it to DC. Complements to Alice Cooper, whose look she must have liked.
Fantastic idea and one great artist!!!
