Comment:

In a few more weeks it will be time for the Renaissance Festival in Sterling, NY. I love to spend a summer day sitting under the trees listening to the music (and maybe drinking a beer or two). I don't have many CDs by musicians who do the Ren Faire circuit, but these songs remind in various ways of that music.

Thanks to Gerry for "Black Velvet Band," Rob for "Come All Ye," Sally for "Betsy the Serving Maid," my bro' for "The Gypsy Rover," and my dad for "The Vicar of Bray."

The art is by Albert Robida.

Cool idea, and the mix looks like it really gets that minstrelly feeling, even if that isn't a word.

Very nice Mo. I bet this has a great feel to it, no matter where your tree is. (I did kind of expect "Renaissance Fair" as the Byrds track, although Rhymney has always been a favorite.) Enjoy the festival!

You're welcome. This looks great, Maurice. I'm glad to see that those discs that I sent are serving you well. Let me know what you think of Joe Pernice & the Mt. Goats, when you get the chance.

This is a frickin' masterpiece. Not a bad song on here. And a great end song too!
