Comment:
"we're from tempe, arizona...ever hear of it?" this is a compilation i made of the gin blossoms' early material (i know i can't be the only person who thinks this is some criminally underrated stuff). the majority of this includes the work of doug hopkins, who killed himself in december of 1993 and without whom the band was never really the same to me. about half of these songs were culled from their debut "new miserable experience"; the other half are courtesy of their "dusted" demo, "up and crumbling" and "shut up and smoke" EPs, and various outtakes, bootlegged live tracks and studio demos. after adding three new songs to the mix, i ended up going 19 seconds over...but i'll find a way around it, don't worry. ok, enough from me. RIP doug, you wrote some beautiful stuff.
