Comment:

this is for joe, a friend who has been having a rough time with school. he caught the bus with me a few weeks back and asked if i could burn him 'without you i'm nothing.' he was flicking through my cds and commenting on a few, which is funny coz i didn't think he liked my stuff. i know he is into Tool, and rage i think... but yeah. he is in the year below me at school and when i used to catch the train home i would talk to him sometimes. so he said he would burn me placebo's last two in return for the one i had, and i said i'd throw in a mix too. this mix is about when you think you know where you stand in your life, when you've gotten your head around things and you know where you are going, and then something completely throws you. things happen which are beyond your control. the title comes from the placebo song, and even though the line may be a little out of context, in itself it reflects the feeling which i was trying to create with this mix. and of course the joys of computer mixing is that i was able to order the songs by their length, and strangely enough, keep the basic structure of my original tracklist.
p.s. i have been listening to soma so much recently, words cannot describe how much i love this song.
