Comment:

the jesus lizard were one of my faves and always put on unparalleled live shows. david yow's drunken, chaotic antics always set the tone for a great performance. this c.d. was made as a sampler for a friend who has been in the dark about this incredible quartet for too long. songs from "head/pure" are not present as i unfortunately do not own a copy. *a special request: if anyone knows where i could obtain the jesus lizard t-shirt with mickey mouse riding the missile, please let me know, i've beening hunting unsuccessfully for years.

When I did college radio, I did a 2 hour show of nothin' but the Jesus Lizard..I came close to madness, with that and my own voice being the only sounds streaming through my headphones for the time period. But i think I did manage to play all these songs.

I assume that you've checked into a Touch and Go catalog for that shirt...I don't know if they're available through a web store but catalogs are still enclosed with any T&G disc.

Great band. Loved the T&G records. Never could warm up to their Capitol stuff, but they remained a stunning live force throughout their reign. I have the Head/Pure combo if you'd like a dub. Might even have the Mickey with a hatchet tee buried somewhere.
