Comment:

For Jen, more or less, although there's not really a "theme" here... just a bunch of songs that have been in heavy airplay around our house. I'm not really sure what to think of this one. It starts off so stridently, then becomes one of my most "reflective" mixes for what amounts to the duration of it. I really, really wish I could have separated the Kris & Willie tunes, but, in all honesty, could not figure out where either of them could have been used more effectively. Title from the Pulp song.

This looks like a real nice mix. Heavy airplay around the house... how many "DJs"? cramps, specials, slade, fugs, on and on. Ray Charles & Nina Simone too. Also Kris & Willie tunes always sound good together.

Me, pretty much. But they're songs that she's used to hearing, even if she doesn't like *all* of them (she's not a big fan of the Serge, Kris, Willie, Slade or CCR tunes).

Very nice! Hope you continue to make mixes for Jen for years and years to come. Nice to see Felt and the Cramps on the same mix.

Lots of swell stuff. I especially like the Nina and Stripes picks. And I don't think it's possible to avoid a smile at the Fugs track.

Further evidence why I always think WWRD before making a mix for Michelle.

Wow, thanks to all of you for the great comments. If I blushed, I'd probably blush at lo-fi's comment. And Ion, I hope to be making mixes for Jen for the rest of my life.

In response to sport's Black Keys question... I'm kind of on the fence about them, even after seeing them live ten days ago (and only hearing their newest album). They're definitely not quite worthy of all of the hype that they've been receiving. Auerbach is a *great* guitar player, and Mr. Carney is a fine drummer, but I kind of wish that Mr. Auerbach didn't have such a compelling desire to sound like Lowell George, Gregg Allman, Dave Matthews and Eddie Vedder rolled into one.
