Comment:

OMFUG - gormandizer = voracious eater of (in this case) music - mojo magazine - explanation of genesis - this is an early attempt at rocking out circa 1967 - pre-Phil Collins of course - uncut magazing - trick bag is not just a crappy robert palmer song - you're gonna miss me is probably on way too many of my mixes - inspired by: Little Steven's Underground Garage - that is all.

Lots of cool stuff. I really dig the NY Dolls Paul Revere, and Love. A whole lot of other great stuff too, though.

Those CBGB guys are rewriting the history of their acronym. When I lived in New York, the OMFUG part stood for Other Music From the UnderGround. Anyway, great mix - Love & Airplane are favorites.

this is pretty damn cool... I immediately recognized the uncut "acid daze" compilation presence, a cool mix in its own right. Props!

All worthy choices.
If you feeling like investigating beyond the fringes of
The Nuggets Box Set, you
might try looking for The Stillroven,
The Human Beinz, The Mystic Tide, The Newbeats,
The Lewallen Bros., The Bad Seeds, The Mystic Astrological Crystal Band,
The Liberty Bell, The Mojo Men, The Maze, The Morning Dew, Buzzsaw, The Living End,
The Changing Times, Dragonfly, Southwest F.O.B., The Holy Modal Rounders, Creation, Pearls Before Swine, The Fugs,
The Driving Stupid, The Monocles, and Dave Diamond & the Higher Elevation.
Understandably, some of this stuff is hard to find, and the quality is inconsistent, but it's new
if you haven't heard it before! Luckily, a few friends of mine have record collections to rival the Library of Congress, and
they live for this stuff.
